A fall retreat for single Catholics
November 12–15, 2026
St. Mary of Providence · Elverson, Pennsylvania
St. Mary of Providence Retreat Center
Three days to lay it down — to rest, to pray, and to let the peace of God guard your heart, with single Catholics who understand.
No agenda to rush through. No pressure to perform. Just space to slow down, breathe, and let God's peace do what it promises — guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
Through Mass, Adoration, inspirational sessions, guided reflection, and quiet time, you'll bring your whole self before God — your worries, your hopes, your questions. And with nothing to manage and nowhere to be, your heart stops bracing.
One of the most unexpected gifts of a retreat like this is finding yourself among people who understand — really understand — the life you're living. No explaining yourself. No awkward small talk. Just the ease of being with others who share your faith, your questions, and your desire to grow closer to God. The perfect place to meet like-minded single Catholics.
Gather around the table in the historic mansion for unhurried meals and easy conversation.
Explore the grounds, find a quiet bench, or take a walk with someone new.
The kind of connection that forms when people are honest, present, and rooted in the same faith.
"Do not worry about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:6–7
"You don't have to explain your life here.
You'll find people who already understand."
Father Otto was born in Sacred Heart Hospital in Allentown, PA. Amazingly, he was born wearing a Roman collar. His Vocation was very clear from the beginning. Sacred Heart is true; obviously, the collar part is not. Father does remember the exact moment however that he first thought that he might be called to be a priest. He was 22 years old, working as a chemical engineer and praying about whether he was meant to marry a girl he had met at Penn State. At the time he was at an international Marian Shrine and he thought, "Maybe Mary is calling me to be a priest!?" Mary was calling him, and he left his job as a sales engineer and went into St. Charles Seminary in August 1991, and was ordained a priest in 1997. Father was excited about being a priest in 1997, and he is just as excited, if not more, about it in 2026. He delights in nothing more than bringing Jesus to people and people to Jesus. He loves his assignment at St. John Fisher and his role in the Regional School of Holy Family and he looks forward to serving here for many years to come.
An hour outside Philadelphia, in the rolling hills of Pennsylvania, St. Mary of Providence sits on rolling acres with two chapels, walking trails, and a historic mansion where we'll share our meals. A full retreat center, further accommodations, and extensive outdoor grounds — a perfect place to encounter God, rest in His peace, and enjoy the beauty of fall.
You'll leave encouraged in your walk with Christ and connected to people in a way that rarely happens at a parish event. And the peace God gives you here follows you home — into how you love, and whatever He has next for you.
